The Gothaplast Academy began with its activities in the year 2001. Since then scientific workshops on various specialist topics are conducted there that find widespread acceptance.
The area of activity of the Academy is the further training of doctors and medical specialist personnel in cooperation with the state institutes such as the state medical associations, who incorporate these lectures in their points system and certify the participation within the scope of voluntary advanced training.
Scientists from the specialist areas medicine, chemistry and biology are integrated in the activities of the Gothaplast Academy. The content of the workshops on modern wound care is the effective treatment of chronic wound healing disorders under consideration of economic aspects.
The Gothaplast Academy is also active outside of Germany.
